The department works with businesses and individuals to explore economic growth and workforce opportunities. We help stakeholders through the process of planning, zoning and building requirements. We have links to help you in your job search or CHIP Grant programs.

CRA for Commercial Property

CRA for Residential Property
The Community Reinvestment Area program offers home owners, incentives to make certain improvements (such as additions and enlargements) to your home, and earn a property tax reduction for a fixed number of years. Read the brochure to find out more!

Home-based businesses
Do you have a home occupation or home-based business? We are excited for you entrepreneurs and want you to be successful. However, we do need your help.
If you do have a home-based business or Home Occupation as described in 1274.09 of the codified ordinances, have you presented to Planning Commission for official approval? Not only does this process meet code, it shares your business with the community.
This is not a home office. Many of us have those and home offices are permitted. Home Occupations have activities associated with them and have some guidelines that need to be addressed.
